Tia Watkins is the mastermind behind the Glow Strand to Scalp Therapy Headspa and Healthy Hair Salon in Lakewood, WA. With more than ten years of expertise in the hair and beauty industry, Tia is recognized as a trichologist by the American Board of Drugless Practitioner. In addition, she has received certification as a hair loss specialist from the SOCAH Center and has had the privilege of being mentored by renowned Hair Transplant Surgeon and Dermatologist, Dr. Nikki D. Hill. Her proficiency also encompasses the realms of Trichology and Dermotricology, thanks to advanced training provided by Kaypderm Laboratories.
Tia began her journey in healthy hair and hair restoration by obtaining her cosmetology qualifications from Rudy and Kelly at the Paul Mitchell Institute located in Virginia Beach, back in 2012. That very year, she also showcased her talents at Empire Beauty Schools. Passionate about teaching and with a strong dedication to her craft, Tia is an active participant in community education programs and offers guidance to emerging beauty professional.
Apart from her professional endeavors, Tia is committed to serving the community through her affiliation with the Sigma Gamma Rho organization and its Philo Affiliates. She finds joy in spending serene moments with her loving husband, Larry, and their treasured son, Lincoln.
